The three lovely ladies in the family received a customized tea towel with Alejandro's work of art all over it.
I got some heavy duty cotton ,did all the sewing around to create a neat edge and with some fabric crayons I wrote down their names, one on each tea towel. I did , Nanna , Great aunt Jane & Auntie Katie.
Before I let Alejandro's creativity loose, I ironed over the names so they would melt and fuse with the fabric, always with paper between the iron and the cloth. The ironed image will now be permanent.
Next, Alejandro spent some time scribbling all over the fabric, if they are very young only do one tea towel at a time, children get bored of things so quickly!
iron the fabric again to fuse the drawings and that's it! They are ready to use!!!! I gave them a wash before giving themaway to make sure they wouldn't surprise themselves with bits coming off whilst drying a plate.
The crayons cost around £4 a pack, great to keep around the house for forgotten presents.
